We received this email from one of our overseas customers, who, clearly just can’t get enough of her Original Peepers!:

Hi Peepers,
Just a quick line to say Thank You for sending me my new specs.
After a little mix up with delivery note, they arrived as usual, safe and
sound.
I had had an identical pair for a long time and everybody knew
who they belonged to, so they wouldn’t be lost for long, until
I visited friends in Milan and unfortunately left my specs in
the restroom while waiting for a flight home.
As soon as I got back I ordered another pair from you.
Once the delivery note was sorted out , you sent a replacement
straight away. I am a very happy bunny.
I work in the customer services dept. in a large out of town retail store

I’ve noticed that I often get calls and emails from people asking me to recommend glasses for their ‘chubby’ or ‘ridiculously long’ faces…  If only it were that easy to do over the phone!   So I set out on a mission to find some guidelines that I could post that might help a few of you out.  I came across this article by Troy Bedinghaus for about.com-vision.  Below is a tidbit:

“When choosing eyeglasses, keep in mind that the frame should enhance the shape and features of your face. Before trying on a pair of eyeglasses, determine the overall shape of your face. The easiest way to find your face shape is to trace the outline of your face using a straight-on photo. After tracing, study the outline and determine the basic shape: is it oval, round, oblong, square, diamond or triangle? Choose a contrasting shaped frame to complement the shape of your face.”
